What is
Botox?

Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, an FDA-approved treatment that relaxes the small facial muscles whose repeated movement creases the skin. Relax the muscle and the line it makes softens, which is why it works well on the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes.

Does Botox mean a frozen face? No. The frozen look comes from too much product in the wrong places. Our injectors, Naomi Kapoor, PA-C, and Patricia Joseph, RN, assess your face in motion first, then use conservative doses placed only where the lines form. You keep your expressions. The creases that came with them get quieter.

It is also preventive. Treating a line while it only shows on movement helps keep it from settling into a line you can see at rest.

Natural is the goal, every time. If we think a heavier hand would make you look done rather than rested, we will say so at the consultation, and we will not sell you more than your face needs.

Your injector watches you raise your brows, frown, and smile before placing anything. Which muscles do the most work decides where the product goes and how much.

Smaller amounts spread precisely across an area soften the most prominent lines while leaving movement intact. Friends notice you look rested, not that something changed.

Every injection is placed by a physician assistant or registered nurse, after a review of your health history and medications.

Fifteen to thirty minutes in the chair and straight back to your day. Results show in three to five days and settle fully at two weeks.

When the line between your brows shows up in every photo, Botox makes its case.

Whether Botox is right for you is something we decide together at the consultation. Your injector looks at how your face moves, asks about your health and medications, and tells you plainly what it will and will not do. If it won’t get you the result you want, we will tell you that too.

Lines that show when you move

Forehead lines, the 11s between your brows, and crow’s feet are the classic dynamic wrinkles, and the ones Botox treats best.

You want to stay ahead of it

If faint lines show when you raise your brows but your skin is smooth at rest, conservative treatment now can keep them from settling in. Refreshed, not done.

You want subtle, not obvious

Botox softens and smooths. It does not change your face, and a good result is one nobody can quite put their finger on. People notice you look rested, not that something changed.

You are in good general health

Not pregnant or breastfeeding, and not on blood-thinning medications. Your injector reviews your health history before anything is scheduled.

Botox treats a muscle, so the areas are defined by which muscles crease the skin when you move. The upper face is where most people start. Smaller doses elsewhere handle a few specific concerns.

Each case is a Rewind Bar patient, photographed before treatment and after. Drag the seam to compare, and look for what has not changed: the face still moves, the expression is still theirs, and the lines have softened.

Individual results vary. These are Rewind Bar patients, photographed at the clinic and shown with their permission. They are not a promise of your own outcome.

How much Botox you need depends on your muscles and the areas treated, and your injector will not recommend more than your face calls for. You get one clear number at the consultation, before anything is scheduled. Payment plans through Cherry are available.

The treatment itself takes 15 to 30 minutes. Your first visit starts with a free 45-minute consultation, and if you are a good candidate you can be treated the same day. We run on schedule and respect your time.

The area is cleansed and, if you would like it, a numbing cream goes on. The injections use a very fine needle and feel like a light pinch or mild pressure. Your injector explains each placement as they go.

Go straight back to your day. For four to six hours, skip rubbing the treated areas, lying flat, and hard exercise. Any redness at the injection sites fades within hours. Gentle, natural expressions are encouraged.

Lines start to soften in three to five days and the full effect settles at about two weeks, which is when your injector can check the result with you. Results typically last three to four months, and some people go longer.

Frequently asked questions

Will I look frozen?

No. Looking natural is the goal here, every time. Your injector watches how your face moves before placing anything, then uses conservative doses only where the lines form. You still raise your brows and smile with your whole face. The creases that came with those movements are softer.

How long does a session take?

Most Botox appointments take 15 to 30 minutes once the plan is set. The consultation comes first, and if you are a good candidate your treatment can happen the same visit.

Does it hurt?

The injections use a very fine needle and most people describe them as a light pinch or mild pressure. If you are nervous or sensitive, a numbing cream can go on first.

Is there any downtime?

No. You can go back to work straight after. For the first four to six hours, avoid rubbing the treated areas, lying flat, and strenuous exercise so the product stays where it was placed. Any redness at the injection sites usually fades within a few hours.

Are there side effects?

The common ones are minor: slight redness, swelling, or a small bruise at an injection site, which settle within hours to a few days. Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medication, so your injector reviews your medical history and any medications at the consultation before treating.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

The first change shows in three to five days, with the full effect at about two weeks. Results typically last three to four months, and some people go longer. Most people book a maintenance visit every three to four months. We will not ask you back sooner than your result calls for.

What else can Botox be used for?

Beyond forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet, small doses can soften bunny lines on the nose, relax the masseter muscles to slim the jawline, reduce a gummy smile, or create a subtle lip flip. Whether an area is a fit for your face is decided at your consultation.

Can I combine Botox with other treatments?

Yes. Botox and dermal filler are often done in the same visit, since they address different things: Botox relaxes the muscles that crease the skin, and filler restores volume. Your injector will also tell you how to time it around facials, peels, or microneedling.

Where to next?

Ready when you are.

Look rested,
not done.

A free 45-minute consultation is the first step. Your injector watches how your face moves, tells you plainly what Botox can and cannot do for it, and can treat you the same day.
