The acne facial, done by hand: extractions where the pores need them, then a purifying masque that unclogs and eases inflammation.
Explore Signature FacialsBreakouts that keep coming back rarely give in to one more product. A consultation is where we look at your skin under good light and work out what it actually needs.

Breakouts are not all the same thing. Some skin is congested: blackheads on the nose, clogged pores across the T-zone, a dull surface that never quite looks clean. Some skin is actively inflamed, with red, sore bumps along the jaw and cheeks that arrive in waves. And some skin is both at once, which is the usual case from the teenage years through the early thirties, when oil runs high and every product promises to be the last one you will need.
The treatments split along the same line. Congestion responds to being cleared: extractions in a signature acne facial, or suction extraction through the HydraFacial tip when your skin does not tolerate squeezing. Active, oily breakouts respond to a reset: the VI Peel's Purify formula, made for exactly that skin, from teens up. And irritated skin that flares after everything responds to being calmed, which is what the Aqua Facial's niacinamide serum and cooling finish are for.
One thing is true of all of them. What happens on the table is about 40 percent of the result; the morning and night routine you keep between visits is the other 60. Your aesthetician sends you home with one, not a shopping list.
You do not have to arrive knowing which facial you need. At the consultation your provider looks at your skin, asks what you have already tried, and matches the plan to it. If a treatment is not going to help your skin, we will say so rather than book it.
Congested skin that looks dull and feels rough. This points to signature facials, where the acne facial's extractions and purifying masque clear what fills the pores, or to a HydraFacial when you want the clearing without manual extraction.
Red bumps that keep arriving, especially along the jaw and chin. These point to the VI Peel's Purify formula, which was built for active acne and oily skin, in a series spaced four to six weeks apart.
Breakouts plus redness and irritation, often on skin that reacts to scrubs and strong products. This points to a HydraFacial or an Aqua Facial, both of which are adjusted for skin that reacts. If you are in the middle of a flare, your provider may ask you to let it settle first.

Every breakout treatment here does one of two jobs: it clears what is filling the pores, or it calms the skin around them. Signature facials do the first by hand. Six steps, a double cleanse, analysis and exfoliation, extractions only where the pores need them, lymphatic massage, a mask, and a moisturizer chosen for you, and for breakouts the acne facial adds a detox treatment and a purifying exfoliating masque that unclogs pores, dissolves blackheads, and eases inflammation. About an hour, nothing to recover from, and you leave with clean, calm skin and a routine for the weeks until the next one.
A HydraFacial clears the same congestion without anyone squeezing. A handpiece with a spiral tip loosens dead skin and debris, lifts it out of the pores with gentle suction, and delivers hydrating serums in its place. No harsh scrubbing, no manual extractions, and no downtime, which is why it is the pick for skin that reacts to a conventional facial. The Aqua Facial works the same way on the Aquapure device: a spray-cleansing pass, resurfacing with emu bush extract to reduce redness, then a niacinamide serum driven into the skin to repair the barrier and ease irritation, with a cooling finish to settle everything down.
When the breakouts are active and the skin is oily, a VI Peel is the reset. The Purify formula was built for exactly that skin, from teens up. The appointment is 20 to 30 minutes, the peeling happens at home over about a week, and by about day seven the new skin is through, a little later for mature or sensitive skin. Like every VI Peel, it was formulated for all six Fitzpatrick types, so medium and deeper skin tones get the same benefit.

The honest tradeoff is between speed and depth. The facials, whether signature facials by hand or a HydraFacial or Aqua Facial by device, make skin look cleaner the same day and have no downtime, but they work best as a rhythm rather than a rescue. Most people who make signature facials part of their routine come in every four to six weeks; a HydraFacial is usually about once a month. If you are weighing how often to book, how often you should get a facial lays out the reasoning.
The VI Peel asks more of your calendar and gives more back. Acne usually calls for three to six peels, spaced four to six weeks apart, and each one means a week of visible peeling you have to plan around: school photos, an interview, a weekend away. In exchange it reaches skin a facial cannot. Your provider will tell you plainly whether your breakouts need a peel or whether a series of facials will get you there, and if a treatment is not going to work for your skin, we will not sell it to you.
Whichever route fits, the clinic is about 40 percent of the result. The other 60 is the morning and night routine your aesthetician sets you up with from the Skinbetter Science and Hydrinity lines we carry, and it is the part most people have been skipping when they arrive. The consultation is free and takes about 45 minutes. You will be greeted by name and leave with one clear plan, and treatment can begin the same day if you want it to.
Listed in the order we most often recommend them. Your consultation decides which actually fits your skin, your goals, and your downtime.
