laser hair removal?
A concentrated beam of light is absorbed by the pigment in each hair and converted to heat, which disables the follicle so it stops producing hair. Each session catches the follicles in their growth phase, which is why it takes a series.
We treat with the Cynosure Elite IQ, which carries two wavelengths. The Alexandrite setting suits lighter skin. The Nd:YAG setting reaches the follicle without disturbing the surface pigment of deeper skin tones. Your provider chooses, and adjusts, based on your skin, not a default.
Sessions are quick. Underarms take minutes, full legs about an hour, and you leave with nothing to recover from beyond some redness and warmth for a few hours.
Rewind treats every Fitzpatrick type, I through VI. If we don’t think laser will work for your hair, we’ll say so at the consultation.
Alexandrite 755 nm and Nd:YAG 1064 nm on the same platform, so the setting is matched to your skin, whatever your tone.
The Nd:YAG wavelength passes the surface pigment and targets the follicle, which is what lets it treat Fitzpatrick IV to VI, the tones laser has long underserved.
Cooling air can run alongside the handpiece through the session. Most people describe each pulse as a warm flick.
Six to ten sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart depending on the area, then occasional maintenance.
When you’re done shaving every other day and hoping wax holds, laser makes its case.
Whether laser is right for you is something we decide together at the consultation. Your provider looks at your hair, your skin, and how you want to spend your time, then tells you plainly.
You want it gone, not managed
Shaving, waxing, and creams keep you on a schedule. A course of laser takes the follicle out of the equation.
Your skin is medium to deep
The Nd:YAG wavelength on our device was built for Fitzpatrick IV to VI, the tones many lasers can’t treat.
Ingrowns and razor bumps
Once the hair stops coming back, so do the bumps and the dark marks they leave. Bikini line, beard line, and underarms are where it matters most.
You’d rather not plan around waxing
Sessions are quick and there’s nothing to grow out beforehand. Come in on a lunch break and go back to your day.
A few minutes to an hour, depending where.
The laser treats a follicle wherever there is one, so the real variables are the size of the area and how coarse the hair is. Sessions are timed by the zone, and most people treat more than one in a visit.

Whatto expect.
Laser is priced by the area and by how many sessions you book, so you get one clear number at the consultation, before anything is scheduled. Payment plans through Cherry are available.
An upper lip is done in minutes and underarms in under half an hour. Full legs or a back take closer to an hour. Most people treat more than one area in a visit and go straight back to their day.
Most people describe each pulse as a warm flick of a rubber band. If an area is more sensitive, your provider adjusts the settings without losing effectiveness, and a stream of chilled air can run alongside the handpiece the whole way through.
A cooling gel goes on right after your session and you leave with written aftercare. Expect some redness and warmth for a few hours. Skip hot showers, saunas, and hard workouts for a day or two, and keep the area out of the sun.
Treated hair sheds over the one to three weeks after each session, and what grows back comes in finer and lighter. Most areas need six to ten sessions to reach the result you are after.
Frequently asked questions
How many sessions will I need?
Most areas take six to ten sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart. Small areas with coarse, dark hair, like underarms, sit at the low end. Fine facial hair and hormonally driven areas sit at the high end. Your provider gives you a realistic number after looking at the area, not a standard package.
Does it work on darker skin?
Yes. Our Cynosure Elite IQ carries an Nd:YAG wavelength that passes the surface pigment and targets the follicle underneath, which is what lets it treat Fitzpatrick IV to VI. Your skin is assessed at the consultation and the settings are chosen for it, not taken from a default.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe each pulse as a warm flick of a rubber band, followed by warmth that fades quickly. Cooling air can run alongside the handpiece through the session, and your provider adjusts the settings if an area is more sensitive.
How should I prepare?
Shave the area within 24 hours of your appointment so the follicle is still there for the laser to find. Skip waxing, plucking, and threading for four weeks beforehand, and stay out of the sun and off self-tanner for at least two weeks. Come in with clean skin, no lotion or deodorant on the area.
What is the aftercare?
Expect some redness and warmth for a few hours. A cool compress helps. Avoid hot showers, saunas, and hard workouts for 24 to 48 hours, and wear SPF 30 or higher if the area sees sun. Between sessions, shave rather than wax.
Can I come in with a tan?
Wait until it has faded, usually two to four weeks. Recent sun raises the melanin in your skin and with it the chance of a burn or a dark mark, so your provider may postpone treatment for safety.
Will the hair come back?
A treated follicle stops producing hair, or produces much finer hair. Hormonal changes can wake follicles that were dormant during your course, so some people book a maintenance session once or twice a year. Any regrowth is usually finer and lighter than before.
